The Closing Signing Service was founded by Melina Fuenmayor, a Venezuelan-trained attorney who immigrated to the United States in October 2017. She started as a paralegal at a law firm, became a notary public, and discovered the career of Notary Signing Agent, a path that combined her legal training with the rigor of real estate closings.
Working in the field, Melina executed over 100 transactions per month. She saw firsthand what most signing services got wrong, missed appointments, document errors, dropped scanbacks, no accountability when something went sideways. The signing was treated as a transaction, not as a legal event.
She built TCSS to operate the way a law firm operates: with judgment at every step, with documentation reviewed twice, with the understanding that one oversight can impact an entire transaction. Today, that standard guides every file we touch.
